The festival takes place as part of the Football Zajedno – Football Together and Sport Together project and promotes international exchange, respect and equality, with a focus on the Western Balkans region, Ireland and Northern Ireland. In 2022 girls teams from 8 European countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia, Greece, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Austria) met in Vienna to celebrate soccer and diversity for three days.
The programme included training sessions, workshops, a guided treasure hunt through Vienna, side events and of course a tournament. As we take the slogan “Together/Zajedno” seriously, every year during the festival we try to provide an exchange between the players as much as possible (e.g. mixed training sessions), as the goal is to foster new friendships and not just focus on performance and results.
