02.25 – 02.30 Closing and evaluation of session 2
Participants share what they have learned and commit an action to it.
Exercise 2.8: Checking out (with one word)
What do you need?
– Enough space to make a circle
What should you do?
– Participants each receive a strip of paper and write on it a word that best symbolises what they have learned in this session. They then think about what they will do (differently) in the future as a trainer.
– Then ask the participants to make a circle
– One by one, the participants present the word and their intended action
– The participant presenting takes a step forward before speaking
– Participants who agree with the speaker also take a step forward on a sign from the trainer, after the speaker has explained his word and action
Trainers advise
– Do not allow discussion, only clarifying questions if necessary
– With this exercise, participants actually look back on what happened. Checking out means that the training session is physically and psychologically ended.
