It is often said that there are no queer athletes in sport – but that’s not the case! Although they are often met with discrimination and exclusion in sport, there are courageous people who are open about who they are! Such role models are important – not least for young people, for whom they show positive paths and show us all how we can work together to make grassroots sport even more open and inclusive.
